We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated visionary and results oriented candidate to fill in the below positions: Accounts Assistant<\/h3>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cashiering<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
• Receipting all types of monies from clients i.e. in and outpatient walk-ins, and for any other services.<\/li>\n
• Banking the day\u2019s collections with the treasury.<\/li>\n
• Billing all procedure done and items used<\/li>\n
• Finalizing invoices<\/li>\n
• Sending pre-authorizations to insurances for day case procedures<\/li>\n
• Explaining to patients their bill<\/li>\n
• Invoice booking for Doctors<\/li>\n
• Producing reports e.g. un-finalized report, finalized report, outpatient un-finalize, amount spent per patient<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Admissions<\/strong><\/p>\n

  \n
  • Filling in all the required documents i.e. admission papers, insurance<\/li>\n
  • Preauthorization, claim forms and NHIF forms where necessary.<\/li>\n
  • Notifying insurance companies on admission of their clients through calling, sending through email and fax preauthorization to insurance companies.<\/li>\n
  • Following letters of undertaking.<\/li>\n
  • Writing deposit top up letters to self-paying patients\/relatives.<\/li>\n
  • Ensuring that all patients pay the required deposit at the time of admission for any arrangements they are authorized by the right authority.<\/li>\n
  • Admitting the patients in the system with the correct date and type of accommodation.<\/li>\n
  • Giving the patient any information they require knowing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Discharges<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
    • Confirming that all relevant documents are provided at the point of discharge i.e. letters of undertaking from the insurances and corporates, NHIF documents from the patient\/relatives, discharge summaries from the care management and doctor\u2019s invoices.<\/li>\n
    • Finalizing all the patients\u2019 bills affecting NHIF where applicable and also giving discounts.<\/li>\n
    • Seeking for extension from the insurance companies and corporates where the bill exceeds the amount in the undertaking letter.<\/li>\n
    • Ensuring that all self-paying patients clear the bills before they are discharged or the undertakings are done by the authorized staff.<\/li>\n
    • Ensuring that all patients who are supposed to sign the bills before discharge do the same.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
      • Confirmation of mode of payment.<\/li>\n
      • Confirming validity for insurance or corporate patients.<\/li>\n
      • Opening of new file.<\/li>\n
      • Retrieving of old files.<\/li>\n
      • Activation of patients.<\/li>\n
      • Issuing of appointment cards.<\/li>\n
      • Any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor, senior accountant or senior management from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Job Specifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n

        • CPA Part One.<\/li>\n
        • Proficiency in Microsoft office as an added advantage.<\/li>\n
        • One year of relevant experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
